Subsidies

Parents can receive a subsidy for the fees. This subsidy is administered through the City Of Ottawa. To determine if a parent qualifies for a full or partial subsidy an appointment with a child care intake officer at the the City of Ottawa must be made and then the parent must complete a standard income and expense statement; this determines the level of subsidy. The guidelines for subsidies change from time to time. Administrative staff at the main office of the day care can provide advice for parents regarding the subsidy system. If the parent does not qualify for subsidy, or their subsidy expires, the parent is responsible for the full fee. Subsidies must be renewed every six months and parents who fail to do so risk losing their subsidy.
